Below are a few tutorials to help you get started using the WP Teline Theme:

Installing WP Teline:

1. Unzip the zipped theme and upload the whole directory to your /wp-content/themes/ directory
2. Log into your WordPress admin panel and go to Presentation.
3. Click WP Teline to activate the theme.
4. Click on Presentation > WP Teline Options, fill out the fields and options to complete the installation.

Editing the logo of your site:

1. Open header.php
2. Scroll down to line 41 and you will see the source code used to display the logo image
3. Upload your logo to the /images/ directory via FTP
4. Change the “logo.gif” on line 41 to the filename of your logo image

Adding images to your posts (optional):

Every post uses at least one image (the thumbnail, sized 75 x 75 pixels); the Featured Posts also use a larger image (sized 200 x 150 pixels).

When creating a new post, you need to specify the URL for these images. The easiest way of doing this, is the following:

1. Upload your chosen image through the Upload panel in Write > Write Post (in your WordPress admin panel)
2. Right-click on the image to find its location (”Copy Image Location” in Firefox and “Properties” in Internet Explorer) and copy the URL
3. For Thumbnail Images - Scroll down to Custom Fields (in the same window in your admin panel) and enter the “Key” as “thumb” and paste the image location URL into “Value”. Click “Add Custom Field”.
4. For Featured Post Images - Scroll down to Custom Fields (in the same window in your admin panel) and enter the “Key” as “featured” and paste the image location URL into “Value”. Click “Add Custom Field”.

Note: You are not required to include a thumbnail or featured image for each post; this is completely optional, and your posts will still display correctly without them.

Integrating Feedburner:

In the header of this theme, there’s an RSS link which allows your readers to subscribe to your feed via Feedburner. You will need to sign up for a Feedburner account, if you don’t already have one.

1. Log in to your Feedburner account and select the applicable feed on the next screen
2. Click “Publicize” (top) and then “E-mail Subscriptions” (left)
3. Under “Subscription Link Code”, find “emailverifySubmit?feedId=1391850″ in the code window
4. The 1391850 is what we are looking for, so copy that
5. Log into your WordPress admin panel and go to Presentation > WP Teline Options
6. Paste your ID into “Feedburner ID” and click “Save Changes”

Writing a featured post:

1. To add images to your featured post, please see the above tutorial.
2. Write a new post and assign it to the appropriate featured category that you have defined on the WP Teline theme options page.
3. The homepage will then display this info in the content area for the Featured Post.
